17 Years of Jackson Blues Festival

Cindy Hayden-Fuller reflecting on 17 years of the Jackson Blues Festival:

"I am so proud of this great community event. The excitement and growth of this festival has really put Jackson on the map as far as great Blues Festivals go. The first year we held it at Kuhl’s Bell Tower Market in downtown Jackson. There were 4 bands that performed during the 3-hour event and we had about 100 people in attendance. Last year we had 15 bands over 3 days." said Cindy.

For 17 years, the Jackson Blues Fest has featured some of the most notable up-and-coming artists. Join thousands of people at the Jackson County Airport and groove along to this annual celebration of the blues May 31st- June 2nd. Warm summer nights set the stage for at least 10 blues bands and musicians.

The Blues Festival would not happen with out the support of the community. Planet Fitness is the presenting sponsor and Experience Jackson, K & M Jetting, Minute Man and O’Harrow Construction are major sponsors and so many more.

Planet Fitness presents the 17th Annual Jackson Blues Festival at the Jackson County Airport 3601 Wildwood Avenue, Jackson Michigan.

On June 1st, the first 100 kids will receive a free t-shirt, sunglasses and a mini workshop on how to play the harmonica and then they will have the opportunity to jam with musicians. It is one of the high lights of the entire weekend.

The festival is on the front lawn of the airport entrance, so just bring your sunscreen and lawn chair and sit back and enjoy the music.

We will have food vendors and a beer tent, so please no outside food, drink or animals.

May 31st admission is just $5.00, Veterans are free, and June 1st and 2nd is just $10 each night.

Festival hours are:

May 31st 6pm – 11pm
